1. Click on Localendar.com

You
may encounter this message. Just ignore it and press click
here.
4.
Next you'll see the editable calendar.
5.
Click Add Event to add a new gig or click on an existing
event to make any changes.
If
you click Add
Event, you'll see this screen:
6. Include the band name in the Title
and the rest of the gig info in Description (up
to 2000 characters including web and e-mail links).
Be
sure to select the right event date, start time and duration.
If you forget, and add the event on the wrong day, the default date is the
current day so it will be saved as today's event.
So, to put the event
on the right day, when the editable calendar comes back, just go to the current
day on the calendar and click on your event again to change the day.
7.
You can choose a background colour for the listing by clicking the colour button.
8.
You can easily add a link to your web site.
Just
highlight your band name or web address whichever you wish to display, click on
the chain link icon, to the left of the anchor
icon in the Format area, enter the URL info for your web address and click
on Submit (or Update for any changed address). (NOTE:
this doesn't work with Safari on the MAC. Use the Firefox browser instead.)
9.
You can add an image that appears on the calendar with your gig.
Either
choose a suitable one from those available or upload one as clip art from your
own images, for example a band logo, portrait, etc.
Please
keep any clip art image to not wider than 130 pixels (4.5 cm/1.8 inches wide) to
stay within the maximum width of the calendar. Wider images can cut off the later
days in the week on the calendar.
10.
You can see how your event will appear by clicking Preview
and a pop-up screen will appear so you can adjust your listing if needed.
Here's what the Preview screen might look like:
If
a change is needed, close the screen and adjust whatever needs to be adjusted.
11.
Lower on the event entry screen, you can choose This event
repeats if it does and pick the appropriate repetition. For gigs that
only repeat for two days (e.g. Fri & Sat), check Fri,
Sat & Weekly and select the Repeat Until
date as the last day of the two days involved.
14.
To post your gig, click on the Save button
(for a new event) or the Update button (for
an updated event). Shortly, the editable version of the calendar will appear
with your gig listing.
If on posting there's something more you'd like
to change, just click on your event's link on the calendar, adjust the info
as needed and click the Update button. The amended
calendar will re-appear with your changes.
You
can then close the calendar and go to
thenewbayou.com
to confirm that your listing is on
the venue's DIY schedule.
You
may need to refresh your browser to see your gig. Also, your browser should be
set to check for changes on every visit to avoid seeing older temporary internet
files before your change.
